1. Overview

utils.im (the "Site") is a collection of free web tools that run in your browser. There is no sign-up or login, and most tools process your input entirely in the browser without sending it to any server.

2. Information we do not collect

The Site has no backend that collects or stores personal data such as your name, email, or phone number. Values you enter into the calculators and converters never leave your device, except for the cases in section 4.

3. Browser storage (localStorage)

Some values — such as your language preference, timer list, and retirement-calculator inputs — are stored only in your browser's localStorage for convenience. They are not transmitted to our servers and are removed when you clear your browser data.

4. Tools that use external services

Some tools call third-party APIs or use device location to function:

• Currency converter — fetches exchange rates (frankfurter.app, open.er-api.com)

• Public holidays — fetches holiday data (date.nager.at); the selected country and year are sent.

• My IP address — looks up IP and location (api.ipify.org, ipwho.is); by nature the request exposes your IP address to those services.

• Zakat calculator — fetches gold/silver prices (gold-api.com)

• Prayer times, Qibla, Ramadan — use your device location (GPS) with your permission. Location-based calculations run in the browser and your location is not stored on our servers.

These external services operate under their own privacy policies, and the Site does not control the data they collect.

5. Cookies and advertising

The Site may display Google AdSense ads in the future. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits.

You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings, and manage third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
